Viav la Electronica meets the italian techno heros The Dolphins! The Dolphins are one of the most important names of the new Italian dance scene. Group formed by 3 members - Alessandro Veneri, Cristiano Valentini, Giacomo Doglione, all with previous experiences - they started to team up in the year 2000. In a few years the trio started to walk on its own legs and, thanks to a frenetic "pass the word" between the attendants created by the outset "Rosemary" on Sushi Records, Ivan Iacobucci wanted them for his Hole Subaltern Records. With this label they produced the explosive single "House Panic", after which they were required also by the famous American label Guidance Recording and the English Hooj Choons (that remixed a big such us Paul Woolford, Dexter and Inland Knights): "House Panic" has literally created panic in the international house chart, giving notoriety to the Italian crew. In year 2003 - with only two records produced - the combo recovered with lots of pressure and various labels were interested to their challenging electric mix, dance, techno and rock melodies: in one year, The Dolphins published their new single "Knockin'Out" and got to remix artist like Echomen, House Of Glass, Cincinnati, Cool Shop, Ajello and various others, imposing themselves like one of the most demanded names among the mixers of the Made In Italy school. The year 2004 is characterized by the approach to the Italian Ocean Dark - sub label of Ocean Trax, label of the famous duo Bini&Martini - for which they became immediately on of the most important projects : in a short period, the Dolphins produce the singles "This Is Our Show", "Pornographic", Warriors"- confirming themselves as important productive reality. At the same time, a very intensive activity of dj-ing develops in the Italian territory, individually and collectively, in set that becomes exercise for live experiments , use of keyboards, tools and also vocal backings . In a period of great artistic/productive growth, The Dolphins develop a sound always more personal and challenging, mixing minimal influences and electronic, house melodies and techno rhythms, always considering an important dance floor, key element that has always characterized the crew's productions. During 2006 the ensemble has mixed the success of Bini&Martini "Stop" (gathering a big success in the Beatport chart), the piece "Sentinel" by Transglobal Underground and, not pleased, he created the alter ego production Audio Vegas, firing two ep's for the Pump-Kin of the very famous Benny Benassi. At the same time he reinforced his partnership with Ocean Dark and they published two ep's of remarkable success "Base One", "Base Two" and "Monogram", hits in the download charts, as well as records among the most important international scene for the label itself. 2007 has been a year of further growth : on one side The Dolphins has continued the activity for Ocean Dark, releasing the new e.p. called “minibox”, on the other they have created a new liaison with Mantravibes, Mark Knight’s Toolroom Records (for which they have just remixed the hits "My MTV" by Noir and “Roadkill” by Dubfire ) ,Proton Music (Us), Noir Music (Dk) and Southern Fried( UK - FatBoy Slim’s label). Beyond this, developing the relation with Pump-Kin and growing the alias Audio Vegas, the trio has attempted a series of Pump-Kin Night around the world and they have produced two more ep: Drama and Morphine 2008 started with two great tracks, “Chemical Youth” and the hit “Haze Hard" on SCI+TEC Digital Audio (US_Dubfire's label), that brought the crew at the top of the charts. After this release they have worked like remixer for Suara (ES) Lot 49 (UK), Old Sail (I) and Evolution recordings (I) and produced “From Hell” e.p. with Italo Business records (I) and “Booster” on Foot Lovers (I) The 2009 looks set to be a natural progression for The Dolphins and is almoust a year that is surely destined to bring them even greater success. They first started with “Verderame” into the new “Flash Digital Compilation” on Flash Digital (Florian Meindl & Oliver Koletzky’s label), then the remix of the hit “The Cat” by Fuzzy Hair & Robbie Rivera and they produced the new singles “Muscle Jackson” and “Fluo” on Evolution recordings (I); also the crew are working with Affin records ( DE_Joachim Spieth’s label) for the debut releases “Broken Hobo” and “Outlaw”. With the new single “When I’m Wrong” on Sci+Tec they continue the activity for Dubfire and also started to work for Erratom Records (Fr), Boxer (De), Affin (DE), Evolution Recordings (I) and Opossum (De). .

Viva la Electronica presnts in this show Audifono from Magdeburg.He was born in 1986, audífono was always fascinated by music. he started djing at the age of 16 and was playing minimal techno and deep house. very soon he played at a bunch of parties and radio stations near and around his beautiful birth place blankenburg (de). years later, he finished school, became a nerd for life and moved to bournemouth (gb) for one year to discover the world and to live by the sea. nowadays he is a student, likes skinny jeans, is resident dj at "klub populär" | projekt 7 (magdeburg) and also plays constantly at parties in and around magdeburg. by the way, his present style is a mix of cheesy minimal and hip-shakin electro sounds. although he loves to dj, audífono is always looking for new challenges and so he started to produce a couple of months ago. if you really fancy a great night with an incredible mix of valuable music and an ecstatic mood, then look out for this dj. book him to see him freaking out in your town! anyway, also be aware of his side project with his friend spedro (hoehenregler, chin chill, ministate) as "hammered miusick bois". an upcoming dj team that was founded in 2007 and playing a lot of shows in the near future.

Viva la Electronica meets in this Show a guy which you would never hear live be cause he can´t be booked, Phoiod. He record a verry limited and exclusive set only for Viva la Electronica. Igor, who graduated university as a programmer, began his media experiments in 2004, when he took a great interest in visual media programming environments and began to develop interactive installations. In 2007 Igor started to work as film soundFX designer and later, in 2008, he decided to start his music project, which was oriented on minimal techno and IDM. Three month later, he was already signed on Momentum (label which is running by Alex Bau) and since then he is constantly releasing his music on vinyl. In 2009 he was signed by labels such Multi Vitamins, Schatten and etc. His music is playing by: Alex Bau, Luciano, Someone Else, Matt Star, Pascal Feos and etc. His style can be described as an atmospheric minimal techno with lots of FXs and constantly evolving patterns. Here are some words from Sean Andino about himself.Music always played an important role in my live, even as a little child I was always carrying my walkman with me. I started to learn different instruments as flute, piano, violin and viola, which fascinated me for a very long time. With eleven years I decided to visit a special secondary school with it’s focus on music, which meantfor me leaving home and move to an other town on my own, living ina students dorm. Viola became my main subject and I took nine years as well practical as theoretical lessons and graduated in 2007. Especiallymy experiences with different orchestras I played in and traveled with awoke the love to percussion and rhythm inside me. I think this andthe whole intense nine years of classic music affects the music I play these days very hard. I started Djing around 2001 as a result of many very long evenings at Clubs in and around Frankfurt. It didn’t took that long and I started playing at small party’s in the town I was living at that moment. As things worked, I met many people, got introduced to several club owners and in short time I had some gigs going on.. In 2005 I met Robyn Stager who invited me to one of his Parties in Frankfurt and made me to one of his residents. Comingto Frankfurt pushed the whole DJing thing even further and Frankfurt became kind of my second home, as I’ve been at least twice a month there to play. At the End of 2008 I got signed at Elektrostatik bookingagency and became one of three Residents at the SunsetClub in Freiburg, south of Germany. Meanwhile I’m living in Berlin where I’m studying Product Design at University of Arts during the week, and at the weekend traveling as much as possible with my record case.

Abnormal Boyz: This is the Neapolitan job by friends who dedicated their whole life to the electronic music, and now they decided to produce cool minimal stuff !!! The Abnormal Boyz was born in Naples, a town with a great school in all the fields of the art; The Abnormal Boyz met themselves during the parties of electronic music in town, and very soon decided to spend time in the studio to create music. In so little time they gave life to many amazing tracks: Their music is fresh, constantly mutating, based on funky sounds, minimal bass-lines and involving groove! The group is in the record market since 2007 with successful products and tracks on the Belgian SAMMEPLATZ REC and on the Italian GLOBOX. With “Keep It” on FRANKIE REC ep, they reach the playlists of all Europe and not only. Very significant is also their track on “Gold ep” of the LOOSE REC and soon, on the same label, an ep by Abnormal Boyz. At the moment, the guys have realized two remix for German labels: KAUFE MUSIK and MICROTONAL. A big success is expected for the latest ep, out these days, on the newborn label SPLITSOUND in cooperation with their talented friend Joseph Capriati. Viva la Electronica meets in this Show Producer, Label Boss and awsome Dj Heron. He live in Münster since 2005, here he found to be an even greater inspiration, meeting Jan Senn alias Senn, with whom he soon started the project “Fossil Fuel”, and who also provided him with basic knowledge of Reason. But, as he soon felt like he couldn’t express himself properly with this software, he started working with Ableton Live, which, with it's various algorithms and plugins, enabled him to realise his visions of music and finally give birth to his very own particular style by the end of 2007. In February 2008, his first three tracks were released on Minisome, his second ep followed in April. This second ep, “Retro”, was so very successful (being played by Richie Hawtin at Time Warp and other venues, by Damon Wild, Fabrizio Maurizi and various other artists), that DBH Music finally contacted him to re-release the tracks on vinyl. Together with four friends – two other musicians and two graphic designers - he founded °Schaltkreis in 2007 - a series of minimal parties with Heron, Jan Senn and Nicetry as residents, a unique interiour design, video installations and, of course, various international guest-djs like Miskate, Dr.Nojoke, DEN, Pheek or Barem. °Schaltkreis has become famous for its unique style and is now one of the most impressive techno partys around Münster. Heron’s latest project, his own label “Limikola” has already achieved an established reputation in the spheres of electronic music. But still, he’s too afraid of stagnation, he needs to struggle against establishment, he’s desperately longing for everlasting electronic evolution. And with this idealistic, evolutionary ambition, the foundation of Limikola was only a question of time. The particular aim of this particular label will be to provide the realms of electronic music with an innovative, exclusive platform for exceptional artists and extraordinary music, combining experimental and artistic freedom with the familiar and comfortable viscosity Heron stands for. Berlin is Calling and Viva la Electronica host Bob Morane presents you Erich Lesovsky from the berlin based label Stil vor Talent. Erich Lesovsky is the newest addition to Stil vor Talent’s exciting artist roster. Here comes someone who is totally fascinated and absorbed by technology, someone who only performs as a live act in the clubs and – in the time of digital machinery – still works on constructing his own devices to make music with. After singles for WBA and Keno records, it is now the time for his first release on Oliver Koletzki’s Stil vor Talent imprint and Mr. Lesovsky is very happy to be part of the family. So are we, of course! Because his first EP is a killer display of musical wizardry. It stars off with “Bell A Donna”, a minimal funk-laden piece of music that is mainly based on some crisp beats, many warm effects and sounds and a melody so simple, yet so encapsulating to capture the heart of every dancer in the club. This is oldskool minimal funk at its best! Next up is “93 percent”, a title that might be misleading at first, because this track sounds more like 150 percent really. A great loop made of fidgety techno hi-hats and some wonderful warm analogue sounds – this could well be termed a new form of fidget techno. Last up is “Riot Beatz”, an experimental display of minimal sound design, yet still very danceable. Lots of crystal bashing beats, a pumping bass and many little effects – this will definitely be one for the dancefloor in the morning hours. Not only does E. Lesovsky seem a master of sound, his expertise seems to cover the perfect creation of warm, yet basic tech anthems and his influences seem to come from all sorts of musical directions, from hip-hop to funk to house back to techno. Viva la Electronica presents in this Show Golbox label head Tony Matt ! Tony Matt is one of the most respected artists from the Italian electronic scene. Born in the beautiful city of Napoli in 1975, Tony is not a newcomer in the music scene. Djing since 1993, with more than 15 years of professional career, Tony has developed his career playing, producing, managing his own record shop and, since a few years, his own labels. With the past of the years, Tony Matt has learned all that he knows about the music scene, due to the gigs and his 5 years owning his Dj Record Shop. The next step in his career was producing. With the experience of the last years and the strong decision of improve in the production area, Tony released his first work in 2001 under the alias Body Talk. Viva la Electronica presents Steven Beyer at the end of the Sophistic Showcase month. What started out as a slight interest, the sense of the straightforward and the inspiration of stylized 4/4 time turns into an entity through strict improvement and self-improvement. All or nothing. His history begins in Potsdam as a classical DJ. Clear and structured ideas of how he sees things slowly bring him forward piece by piece. Whatever he touches he does right and emerging from the perfectionistic successful man is more and more potential, all dedicated to electronic music, whether as DJ or producer. It is always with a pinch of extravagance that he mixes technoid elements, driving beats and groovy interludes to a style made up of groovy techno, minimal and house. All that coupled with a pair of muffled vocals gives rise to a very special musical experience that has enriched many an event. He releases his tracks on different labels such as Tendenzen freier Entfaltung (TfE), Aspekt or Lordag Records. One release, for example "Four in one Pocket ep" on 12" entered the playlists of permanently established greats such as Troy Pierce, Perc or Oscar. Professionalism requires going down one's own path that is subject to continual influence and must be flexible. It is with this professionalism that Steven Beyer becomes an established great through a success that is 100% self-made. Needless to say, it is not over, for who has had enough when there's more to be had? He has made plans to continue on his own way. His slogan for the future is to move forward and not stand still. In the years that she has been Djing professionally, Jenn performes at some exclusive festivals and clubs in germany like: SonneMondSterne Festival, Locca - Weimar, Factory - Hannover, Sandsteinhöhlen/subsoil, Washroom - Dresden, Präzisionswerk - Leipzig, Bellevue - Lübben, Mädcheninternat - Berlin, Soundgarden - Leipzig, Terminal1 - Dresden, Salzwerk - Wilhelmshall, Wake up - Göttingen and more. Besides she was guest at different radio sessions like Radio Fritz - Rave Satelite, Radio e-volution, Radio hbw, Berlin-mitte-institut.de. In this show we present you the Dj and Producer Oscar form the Berlin based label Karateklub.Fresh kicks! Oscar's sound doesn't fit into any common techno category. He uses the complete spectrum of electronic sounds, dares to cross boundaries and combines the old with the new. His sets are dynamic, captivating, loop-oriented, different. With more than ten years of DJ experience, he knows how to wow his audience while executing his technical expertise. His gigs in Mexico, Spain, Belgium, Holland, Norway, etc. were all given high praise, just like his regular festival gigs at SonneMondSterne or Summerspirit, for example. With his move from Magdeburg to Berlin he left several residential positions and long-established elements behind to enter into the continually growing pool of musicians in Berlin. After completing his studies in Magdeburg, he is now dedicating himself full-time to music, as a producer, DJ, label manager and agency holder of an extensive music promotion agency. In order to create diverse platforms for artists of different electronic music styles to present their music, he founded labels together with his colleague, including Karatemusic, Karateklub and Lordag. As founder and manager of diverse labels, he aims to successfully conquer the music market and diversely shape music in all directions. Viva la Electronica presents you Suedmilch in this show.2005 was the year in which Suedmilch expired his passion for techno. Being totally cought up by electronic music, it didn’t took very long until he decided to take it a step further and become a DJ. With his typically deep-grooving and propelling sound Suedmilch became quite successful which broad him more and more gigs throughout the whole country and even further. Being impressed by the structure and scheme of techno, the only logic way to totally express himself was producing own music. In the beginning software’s as Ableton Live made it possible for him to gain great results with only low budget. It’s the fascination of Rhythm and Groove that marks Suedmilchs’ own productions as well as his DJ-Sets. This is Mike Wall aka super-music-management-multi-talent-with-best-taste-on-this-site-of-the-galaxy. Beside his impressing amount of releases, especially cominhg up in 2008 (uhm maybe there is a bit of a hype-smell around him?, find the list on his myspace) he is also hard working on orphik recordings, toppaz digital and produkt schallplatten. Busy man, isnt he... His productions sound like the perfect connection between techno and groovy house. Creating his own style of Techno is the reason he’s doing fantastic live sets as well including all the different sound structures, glitches, bleeps and basses he’s interested in and let him feel balanced. As owner of the label ORPHIK RECORDINGS he’s responsible for finding new talents and doing great party nights in Berlin and other. Viva la Electronica meets Lars Wickinger (040 Rec / Gastspiel) In This Show Viva la Electronica host Bob Morane meets Lars Wickinger he is a a real guitarrero, who knows how to rock. Starting at the tender age of 14 he played his way through various grunge and hardcore bands until approaching the devices responsible for his current sound via new wave and synthie pop. After moving to Hannover in the 90s, the guy from Braunschweig plunged into first contact with techno-musicians. That was also when he learned how to pronounce terms like midi sequencer, Atari and Cubase – formerly totally strange to him. Lars acquired his first electronic equipment and ever since he’s been fumbling around with electronic sounds beside his band activities. His move to Berlin brought up the plan to make music all day long. He rented a first real studio on the former GDR-national radio broadcast premises in Nalepastrasse, where he worked with Danyell aka. Teleman. Next project was a team of two with a girl at the mic named “Vanilla Krepp”. One can listen to it on Freizeitglauben03 and the second “Notaufnahme”-sampler from the “Popagenten” (Radio Fritz). Result of his encounter with the songwriter Michael Skelton from Hamburg was the HipHop-Electro-Band Citizens International in 2003 and later on the electronic duo C.I.T. With this name they had various publications at Spoiler Music, Duplikat Rec. and Monika Kruse’s minimal label Electric Avenue. Lars can be described as an omni-present team player. Beside his own career in techno and the new album of Sonia Brex from Italy he’s dedicated to his project Schatz & Wickinger, rather focussing on minimal techno. For this project he works with the DJ Markus Schatz from Berlin, whom he got to know via their common booking agency“Friendselectric”. This cast just released two deeply pressing releases on EK-Records and another one on Force Sense is planned in the near future. Meanwhile Lars Wickinger planted two proper bombs at Opossum Recordings and Traum Schallplatten as a solo artist.

Desde el comienzo de la musica electronica, Bob Morane era fascinado por esta fuerza motriz. Inspirado por la riqueza de las facetas del genero, él desarrolló en el curso de los años sú proprio estilo. Así él no deja de categorisarse en gavetas fijas. Bob Morane muestra un amplo espectro de experiencia en las variantes de la música electronica y cria de ahí un mix estimulante. Él tuve sús primeros bookings en el “Fusion” en Münster y en el “Impuls Club” en Osnabrück. Con sús sets impulsivos, él entusiasmaba el público y más otros Bookings siguieron. En 2004 él tornóse resident-dj en el legendário “Fusion”, unos de los más antigos y más renomados clubes de la Alemania, donde él está hasta hoy y atua detrás de los tocadicos con celebridades como Chris Liebing, Bad Boy Bill, Moguai, Marco Carola y otros. En el “Fusion”, él pude ampliar sús possibilidades y habilidades. En el curso de una relación simbiotica, los eventos influencian su estilo. Así él logró tomar pié en el “Dockland”, ún House-Club de la primera hora. Porqué sólo tocar Minimal o Techno, se todo puede se connectar? Esta diversidad caracteriza Bob Morane y lo hace para un enriquecimiento de la scena y para un huésped bien visto en los clubes. Início del año 2007, Bob Morane llamó la antención la agencia “360 Bookings”. Sús referencias convincentes, el bueno mixing y sú grande personalidad fueron argumentos punzantes para incluírlo en el Artist Pool. Siguieron bookings en la “Winter Music Conference”, en Miami, donde él fue celebrado freneticamente por el público. En el “Ruhr in Love”, en Oberhausen, un evento con más de 25.000 visitantes y otros festivales como el “Cloud Nine” en Hamm. Otros eventos de alta calidad siguieron como el “Warsteiner World Club Tour” y el “Viva La Electronica World Tour” con estancias en Miami y Alemania con bookings de la extra classe.
