Viva la Electronica meets Andrey Zots (Globox)

Viva la Electronica meets in this show Andrey Zots from Russia again, we had him last Year in the Show and his Set was so amaizing we decide to ask him again to do a exclusive set for Viva la Electronica . His Musical History sounds verry intresting.
Do you believe in love of techno music at a first loop? Everything's possible, when it's 1995, Andrey was 16, and this was his first visit to a nightclub in the capital of wild and rollicking Russia.
Since that day, Andrey is two different persons. Every morning, the first one puts on a white shirt, ties a tie, and goes to shuffle papers at the bank. The second one sits at the computer in his home studio all nights long. But the expensive silk tie tightens with each passing month, until one day it strangles like a slipknot, drawing away from the real passion - music.

His experiments with interactive installations evolve into the live techno project Bip Soup. At the end of 2007, Andrey locks himself in a studio and dives into independent production of techno music. His dreams finally come true. His first tracks draw attention of well-known European labels, and this is just a beginning. The future promises new records, live performances, and… who knows what's waiting for us 'round the corner? After all, this is techno…
Host of the Show is still Bob Morane. So enjoy the Viva la Electronica Show with Andrey and Bob.

They record a special Liveset with new tracks.
Piet Bender is a learned roof tailer and has a sense for arranging and creating fancy sounds.
With his own productions he tries to be in vogue and to set trends by himself.

After some years a pure techno DJ Piet was influenced in 2004 by a friend and gradually became a producing-junkie with a more minimal approach.

Making new beats is not only Piet's ultimate task, however in addition it is his ultimate passion.

Already in 2006 he followed up his talent with deeds. In cooperation with Marius Berger he could celebrate his first online releaseat the Berliner Label Rotary Cocktail Recordings with a remix of Holger Flinsch's Five Me.
Followed by a residency as DJ at the legendary Hammer pent-house parties at Orange Club
in 2007 the first vinyl was released at "Fassade Rec." with the ÑLift Off EP".
Other productions are planned.

It doesn't make a difference to Piet whether he is a DJ or Produces.
In January 2008 he started also LIVE: Piet's style range between driving rhythms, wide sounds and "frickeling" gimmicks

Viva la Electronica presents 2Taktmotor (Nanomatik Musique)

Viva la Electronica presents 2Taktmotor (Nanomatik Musique)
Someday, most likely some morning in 2006, two electronic music heads met at SAM’S club in Bielefeld, Germany. They shared the same views on what good music is to them and started mixing together.

First, they only juggled tunes at home for the fun of it, but soon realized that they really function well as a team. They joined forces and 2Taktmotor was born. Both began mixing electro in 2006, but by now 2Taktmotor mostly feed their turntables with minimal techno.

The DJ duo made a name for them self by performing regularly during after hour at SAM’S club in Bielefeld. This club was their home turf, but not the only playground where the two of them had a good time. They performed at several clubs in the region of western Germany, among them elephant club (Bielefeld), X (Herford) and fusion (Münster). Additionally they had air time on radio hertz 87,9. 2Taktmotor has been on stage with big names like “Tube and Berger, Oliver Klein, Tomcraft and many more. In 2008, the label “Nanomatic Musique“ signed the two and released their first album shortly after.

Anyways, their focus is and always will be on fun. You will believe this once you watch them and their driving sound moving the masses and asses.

<itunes:summary>Viva la Electronica presents 2Taktmotor (Nanomatik Musique)

Viva la Electronica presents die Haustiere (Italy)

ANIMALS OF THE GOOD WAY is the suitable title to define Marco Coccolo and Enrico Zaina. Under the pseudonym DIE HAUSTIERE, their dream is to leave a mark in the continuing evolution of music. In 2004, they combined their passion and creativity, presenting themselves as DJs in different locales around North-East Italy and gaining the appreciation and of their audiences. In 2006, they became members of Intelligently Composed Music(I.C.M.) a cultural association that has lead them to be able to perform in many clubs in Italy and in Slovenia. In their DJ set, they propose different shades of minimalism and electronics; typically German genres with some 80’ influences. In 2007 Coccolo and Zaina began to produce and many labels became aware of their music. Their first EP, called “Out of my mind”, had been released by Cupido Recordings (Italy) and soon after, Tokyo Red Recordings (UK) released the EP “After dinner”. In 2008 these artists decided to leave I.C.M. This past summer, Race Car Productions (USA) became interested in Die Haustiere’s music, and in June this label released the “Carpiato” EP, included remixes by Yashuaru Motomya and Evan Scott. After many gigs in Slovenia, the Slovenian record label called UDTK Records showed interest in Die Haustiere. Shortly thereafter, the “MixMax” EP was released. After successful year, Die Haustiere is excited to share their music with the world and let all the people dance till morning!

Viva la Electronica meets Jussi Pekka

This section you can find now regular at Livesets.com done by VlE host Spedro.

“ … I don..t play music I don..t like. Some DJ..s do it for the money, but I do it to support the music I love …”

Hailing from the frozen north, with the highest amount of mobile phones and internet connections per head, where saunas, reindeers and keskikesä rule your life, where in dark days it seems like kind of a logical conclusion to lock yourself away into the studio – these words come from our favourite Finn Jussi-Pekka. J-P, as his friends call him, is an artist in the truest sense of the word. And that artist-way of thinking can be experienced, if you ever happen to hear any of his DJ-sets.

But it..s not only the DJ in him. His profiling production face also perfectly underlines his musical character, combining Detroit techno, groovy beats and acid elements, he's forming his unique cool & crispy Jussi-Pekka sound. Mr Parikka manages the crossover between house and techno like only a very few others do, with a subliminal sureness to receive support from a crossfire of DJs from different electronic niches, including the likes of Hawtin, Bug, Villalobos, Garnier, James Holden, Electric Indigo and Timo Maas.

So far he can look back on an impressive release catalogue including productions for highly respected labels such as Poker Flat ( “Dancing Queen”), Morris/Audio (“Work it”), Slip..n..Slide, Audiomatique (“Let it go”), Out of Orbit (“Stereo interleaved”), Dessous, Latenightessentials, Vuo, Statra, Worldless (“The Snake”), and not to forget his very own imprint Frozen North Recordings, which he has kickstarted in 2005 to give himself as well well as other Finnish artists the chance to spread the more and more sought-after Scandinavian beats. Hence it is not surprising that this also affected the demand on his remix abilities. So far he can look back on additional production work for Jens “never be the same”, Kalle-M (“Omena” on Was Kids), Chica Discos, Plusminus Recordings, and has recently been chosen to remix Jori Hulkkonen for F-Communications.

If Tampere will ever be named alongside tone-setting cities such as Chicago, London or Berlin, then it..s for sure Jussi-Pekka who achieved that his hometown became an item in the global underground dance scene.

<br

Check out : http://www.frozennorthrecordings.com

Viva la Electronica presents Sean Andino from Germanys Capital and most wanted Electronicmusic- playground Berlin.
Here are some words from Sean Andino about himself.

Music always played an important role in my live, even as a little child I was always carrying my walkman with me. I started to learn different instruments as flute, piano, violin and viola, which fascinated me for a very long time. With eleven years I decided to visit a special secondary school with it’s focus on music, which meant
for me leaving home and move to an other town on my own, living in a students dorm. Viola became my main subject and I took nine years as well practical as theoretical lessons and graduated in 2007.
Especially my experiences with different orchestras I played in and traveled with
awoke the love to percussion and rhythm inside me. I think this and the whole intense nine years of classic music affects the music I play
these days very hard.
I started Djing around 2001 as a result of
many very long evenings at Clubs in and around Frankfurt. It didn’t took that long and I started playing at small party’s in the town I was living at that moment. As things worked, I met many people, got introduced to several club owners and in short time I had some gigs going on.. In 2005 I met Robyn Stager who invited me to one of his
Parties in Frankfurt and made me to one of his residents. Coming to Frankfurt pushed the whole DJing thing even further and Frankfurt became kind of my second home, as I’ve been at least twice a month there to play.
At the End of 2008 I got signed at Elektrostatik
bookingagency and became one of three Residents at the SunsetClub in Freiburg, south of Germany.
Meanwhile I’m living in Berlin where I’m studying Product Design at University of Arts during the week, and at the weekend traveling as much as possible with my record case.

Viva la Electronica presents Rob Strobe

In this Episode of Viva la Electronica Podcast we presesnt you Rob Strobe from Frankfurt, Germany.
Rob StrobE gains his inspiration from the club-scene every weekend. His sound and live-sets reach from minimal to techno and rock the crowd from Frankfurt to Berlin in clubs such as U60311, Forum, MFE, Vinylbar and many more. Beside his job as a freelance-technician and his light-jockeying he works with DJs and producers of the scene. In 2001 he starts projects with René Walliczek. Since 2005 Andy Lee is a steady partner on productions in his Frankfurt community. In summer 2006 and since then a huge amount of creative input is formed with Björn Mulik, Peter Eilmes and Robin Jacobs and definitely more to come. Remixes and co-productions with Alexander Weinstein and Dan D. also contribute to a good-vibe-influence on his output at his 1 ½-year stay in Berlin. Altogether a whole bunch of releases flourish due to this get-together on labels like Utils, Pias, Zyx, I220, PlayMusic Productions, Royal Biscuit, Supdub Digitales etc.. His ability to create unique grooves as well as his technical head for music brings him plays by DJs like Emerson, Holgi Star, Toni Rios, Björn Mulik, Goodgroove and Tobi Neumann. Now back in Frankfurt Rob StobE is looking thankfully forward to a great year in 2009!!

Viva la Electronica meets Kaufman und Ferdinand (Kaufe Musik)

Viva la Electronica meets Kaufman und Ferdinand (Kaufe Musik)

Your Viva la Electronica host Bob Morane meets in this Show Kaufe Musik Masterminds Kaufman und Ferdinand.
Propably, one of theirs latest Tracks is the best characterisation, what the both Frankfurt Guys are – even “sooo mad!” Of course they are not totally manic, but there is no other word which can describe the two guys better. Their online presence on http://www.myspace.com/kaufemusik shows perfect, that they are funny and odd ducks but altough always lovely and charming fellows. Of course, the most important thing is the sound they play. By the use of their sound and the djing – they grew up from a insider tip straight to mainfloors in the club world – and this in a little while.

To specify the Kaufmann & Ferdinand sound is a little bit different – because they are really versatile, and they surprise the crowd again and again. One of the most important argument is, that wherever they played, they were invited to come and play again. This is definitely a good sign and tells a lot about the skill they have.

In may 2007, Kaufmann & Ferdinand started not only the label „Kaufe Musik“ but also they began to djing together. Both guys went the typical way of a dj. They played at different parties and were also on solo tours in many german cities. With his project “Gewalt in Ton” – had Markus Ferdinand already a status in the “harder“ techno scene, and with his release “Dj Ferdi – A better tomorrow” on Semi Automatic (the label of Ibrahim Alfa) it was obviously that he has nothing in common with the typical “Schranz”

The Raveline magazine honoured and praised their work. Also the called it like the music of the future. Furthermore the Raveline published an Interview about their label “Kaufe Musik”. Especially with the label and their productions they had already much success.

In 1998, after his first appearance in highly regarded club Industria in Belgarde, he joined TTP (Teenage Techno Punks) and gained a weekly residency. By the end of the 1999, when club Omen was already closed, he participated and played in most of the Belgrade's finest underground clubs and parties. At that time, he drew a lot attention with his innovative mixing technique and skills, using even three decks for mixture of tech-house and techno.

Even though he was always devoted to it, in mid 2003, his progression led him profoundly to more deep and innovative sounds of electronic music. He then developed his new set up in performing and got into more stripped down house/techno and some electronica.

2007/2008 was a busy year for his releases on label Momentum as well as some tracks for the compilations. Nowadays, Milos still dedicates a lot of time on producing. His latest born project Regen is focused on a dubby side of both house and techno genres, with a unique approach of early dub techno classics. Regen releases to be expected in 2008/2009.

Viva la Electronica meets Catz´n Dogz aka 3 Channels ( Dirty Bird)

>Viva la Electronica meets Catz n Dogz

At the end of 2008 we look back of a succsesfull year with Viva la Electronica. We had big Names in the show like Tom Pooks, Alex Bau, Monoroom, Ron Flatter and some new and fresh Acts like Andrey Zots, Phoiod and the Italian Dj and producer Totoproto and in this Viva la Electronica Show we present 3 Channels aka Catz n Dogz.

The name is new, but chances are you’ve already heard Catz 'n Dogz. Previously, as "3 Channels," the best friend duo have already released red hot club records on some of the most respected underground dance labels in the world including Trapez, Crosstown Rebels, Pokerflat, Boxer, dirtybird, Leena, Trenton, and their own imprint, Channels Recordings. After making underground techno for many years, the duo have now ventured into new territory. This time, as Catz n' Dogz, the boys have headed towards deep house without losing sight of their harder techno roots - exploring lush organic soundscapes with live drums and instrumentation.
A radio show soon followed on Szczecin's ABC Radio allowing them to explore their creativity and gain a legion of fans. Soon after that, they began to produce records together as 3 Channels. And now they come to us with their next level evolution, their amazing first full length album called “Stars of Zoo” as Catz n' Dogz.
The instant Claude VonStroke heard the new sound he snatched it up for his mothership label. Greg and Voitek had already generated two smash hit appearances on Claude's dirtybird label, remixing the infamous "Who's Afraid of Detroit?" on limited one-sided vinyl which has been seen selling for up to 100 euros a copy on the web! They also destroyed dance-floors with last years hit "Chicken Affair EP," crossing over to DJs as diverse as Radioslave, Jesse Rose, and Sebo K.
Enjoy the Viva la Electronica Show with Catz n Dogz and Bob Morane!

Date: 09.12.2008
Time: 18:00 GmT +1
Tune in: http://radio.livesets.com/

Discography:

2007 - Jussi Pekka, inc. 3 Channels Mix (Frozen North)
2007 - Claude Vonstroke, inc. 3 Channels Mix (Dirty Bird)
2007 - 3 Channels - Together (Chanels Rec 001)
2007 - Giorgos Gatzigristos - 3 Channels remix (Channels Rec 003)
2007 - Rocco - 3 Channels remix (Freerange Records)
2007 - Mr. Statik - Check the Sun EP (3 Channels remix) (Octopus 002)
2007 - 3 Channels pres. It..s time again for Viva la Electronica on Livesets.com! In this Show we can present the you "The Dolphins" !!!!

The Dolphins are one of the most important names of the new Italian dance scene. Group formed by 3 members - Alessandro Veneri, Cristiano Valentini, Giacomo Doglione, all with previous experiences - they started to team up in the year 2000.
But in 2007 has been a year of further growth : on one side The Dolphins has continued the activity for Ocean Dark, releasing the new e.p. called "minibox", on the other they have created a new liaison with Mantravibes, Mark Knight's Toolroom Records (for which they have just remixed the hits "My MTV" by Noir and "Roadkill" by Dubfire ) ,Proton Music (Us), Noir Music (Dk) and Southern Fried( UK - FatBoy Slim's label). Beyond this, developing the relation with Pump-Kin and growing the alias Audio Vegas, the trio has attempted a series of Pump-Kin Night around the world and they have produced two more ep: Drama and Morphine

So 2008 looks set to be a natural progression for The Dolphins and a year that is surely destined to bring them even greater success... and it starts here, with their debut release on SCI+TEC Digital Audio (Dubfire's label).
Enjoy the exclusive live Set from The Dolphins on Viva la Electronica with your host Bob Morane.

Viva la Electronica presents the Viva la Electronica Host Bob Morane

The Viva la Electronica Introducing will be done by the host himself Mr. Bob Morane from Germany.
Since the beginning of electronic music Bob Morane was fascinated of it. He start mixing in 1997 and inspired by the amount of facets of this genre he developed his own style among the years. Thereby he doesn’t fit into fixed categories. Using his experience Bob Morane shows a big variety in his manner of playing and creates an interesting mix with it. His first bookings were in the “Fusion Club” in Münster, and the “Impuls Club” in Osnabrück. With his engaging sets he inspired the audience so that other bookings followed. In 2004 he became resident in the legendary “Fusion Club” one of the oldest an most highly reputed clubs in Germany where he works until now and where he stayed behind the decks with stars like Chris Liebing, Bad Boy Bill, Moguai, Marco Carola and many others. In the Fusion he enlarged his abilities. Like in a symbiotic relationship the events influenced his style, so he was able to enter the “Dockland” – a first class house-club.
So why just playing minimal or techno when everything can be combined? This variety makes Bob Morane an enrichment of the Club scenery and makes him a welcome guest in all clubs. In the beginning of 2007 the agency “360 bookings” took notice of him and came to an agreement. Convincing references and a good mixing as well as a big personality became piercing arguments to let him enter the artist pool. After that he was booked for the “Winter Music Conference” in Miami, where he was celebrated frenetically by the audience and the “Ruhr in Love” in Oberhausen – an event visited by more then 25000 visitors. Another festival he was booked for was the “Cloudnine” in Hamm. Other highly recommended events followed like the “Warsteiner World Club Tour” and the “Viva La Electonica World Tour” with first class bookings in Miami, Australia and Germany.
