Viva la Electronica presents Dj Madskillz ( Bitten / 100% Pure / Area Remote) http://www.play.fm/radioshow/vivalaelectronica DJ Madskillz, developed his enthusiasm for music when he first encountered the upcoming hiphop and electro sound in 1985. “I can remember that I was particularly fascinated by the music which was played on the well-known pirate stations in those days; music that was completely different from the top-40 tunes of that time.” He discovered house music and he got mad about this new sound after visiting club RoXY in Amsterdam in 1989. “I wasn’t really enthralled by just spinning records; I was particularly interested in new techniques to make music.” Gert bought a drum machine(Roland TR-909) and a bass synthesizer(Roland TB-303) and started to experiment in the studio. And how! In 1991, he produced, together with Dylan Hermelijn, ‘Edge of Motion’, his first 12" ‘Set Up 707’, which became the ultimate worldwide house classic. From that moment on, he has been producing different styles, from trip-hop to drum & bass, from techno to house, under different aliases. dont miss!!!! http://www.djmadskillz.com/ http://www.residentadvisor.net/dj/djmadskillz http://www.residentadvisor.net/record-label.aspx?id=3057 http://www.theboxx.info/

Viva la Electronica presents Sascha Braemer (Supdub / Highgrade / Dirtybird) Viva la Electronica presents a exclusive set from Sascha Braemer. Sascha Braemer, a.k.a. Hirtenfellner is a man who can't be ignored in the current electronic and club music scene. It seems that his releases have a powerful urge to climb to the top of the charts! As a producer Mr. Braemer understands how to feel the pulse of his listeners. His first solo single "India Flowers" (on the Dekadent label) went straight to the top and E.P.'s like "Ghost Hand", "GoLoco" and "Dirty Talk" have gained worldwide recognition. The breakthrough came for Sascha with Dirtybird, the label of Claude von Stroke. With "Go Loco" and "Some Sweat", he not only convinced his fans in Europe but also gained new followers in the U.S. and Canada. When asked for the secret of his success, Sascha answers: "Well, I like to make music I can relate to. There are no rules I care about and I don't like to conform myself to any one style. If everybody is going in one direction because it’s trendy, I feel even more strongly to express myself differently through my music." With the Berlin project "Niconé & Sascha Braemer", two ingenious spirits have come together. With the song "Nur Mal Kurz" on the Bar 25 label they created a hit that was also massively played on radio, and the follow-up & quot;Thank You" doesn't leave any questions unanswered! As a DJ, Sascha transforms from being a modest producer into an extravagant show act, loaded with emotions and energy. He loves to give his fans and listeners something in return and his sets twist the club audience into a mass of wild party people. Doing what he's does best, Mr. Braemer uses a mix of vinyl and CD's while working his sets. Something that is not often seen anymore. His own vinyl label "Supdub" is continuing it’s success story and is another reason for him not to go completely digital. New productions and a "Niconé & Braemer" album are in the pipeline to keep the party rocking ! Stay tuned, while Mr Braemer keeps going loco ;-)

The interpretation of 29 year old dj and producer M.in of modern House / TechHouse has a massive effect on the dancefloor. Either as an entertainer behind the decks, e.g. at the “Kehakuma-Party” @ Space / Ibiza, or as a producer and remixer – it..s very hard to resist M.in..s feeling for rocking club music:

"yes yes, super funkyness! would love to play this" is Laurent Garnier..s comment on the newest single of M.in on the label Robsoul. But also his remixing skills are obvious establishing three high quality interpretations among the top 20 German Club Charts (peak: position no.3). One remix of Kesho..s “Meru” (kmmltd 001), one on Thomas Schumacher..s Get Physical release “The Ooh” - in close collaboration with saxophonist Harold Todd, member of the Lenny Kravitz band - and finally Rampa..s “Wife & Man” (Keinemusik 003) was reconstructed together with Patrick Kunkel.

Markus Ferdinand alias M.in is an artist developing his individual music taste by being open-minded towards other genres. His interpretation of loop-oriented House / TechHouse is spiced up with Jazz, Soul and Afrobeat elements in order to present a varying and sophisticated mix to the audience. His passion for electronic music came up at the age of eleven! As soon as his older brother left the house, M.in started to use his turntables to put on some Hardcore records. After experiencing other genres like BreakBeat & Jungle he finally has found his second home at the House / TechHouse scene being motivated by the likes of DJ Tonka and Ian Pooley.

Faithful to the saying „never forget where you come from“ M.in is an artist performing almost exclusively vinyl throughout his dj gigs. But when the time is right he doesn..t hesitate to also use CD with current and unreleased tracks within his preferred three-deck-performance spinning the massive groove and the floating percussions to another level.

M.in is also very active in the field of producing enjoying both working alone and being engaged in collaborations:

The project M.in & Bastian Schuster is focusing on the perfect harmony of Jazz, House and Sexiness. The two guys are also responsible for the masterpiece „New Orleans EP“ (peak: position no.9, German Club Charts) which had a stunning effect on the dance scene.

In contrast to the first project, M.in & Patrick Kunkel adding a higher influence of techno and tribal beats to their sound design. Instruments and vocals are recorded live, the experimental use of coconuts and empty bottles combined with special guests from other genres (e.g. Saxophonist Harold Todd from the Lenny Kravitz band) is part of the philosophy.

M.in..s quality work as a producer is rewarded with appearances on labels such as Souvenir (label from Tiefschwarz), International Freakshow, Off Rec., Robsoul (label from Phil Weeks) and Micro.fon. His own label "Komm mit Musik" releases only limited vinyl copies and his second one called “Weplayminimal" distributes just MP3 tracks. As a result of being a passionate musician it is no wonder that his productions can be heard wordwidely and are hammered by the likes of Ricardo Villalobos, Richie Hawtin, Luciano, Loco Dice etc. at the most essential events of the electronic music scene.

M.in..s philosophy: "obsession for smiling faces" smiley !

An artist whose roots lie half in Nigeria represents today for what we understand as House: Percussions, drifty hypnotic beats, a touch of soul  and marvellously deep.........house is a feeling and Ray Okpara has his  finger firmly on the pulse, leading the way. Whilst his own roots are  in Nigeria, it is actually Mannheim, Germany that Ray has helped put on the electronic music map, with a string of stellar productions on hot  labels like Cécille, Oslo, Get Physical and Area Remote and an  indomitable DJ style that has seen him rock out the world’s great modern  clubbing arenas. With Ray’s distinctive style, it’s no surprise  to learn that his early influences were hip-hop, funk and soul before  the nightlife escapades of he and long-time friend Johnny D truly awoke  his strong interest in electronic music. Impressed by the many different  genres, the first attempt on the turntables was actually using Johnny's  UK Garage Records. But the passion was sparked and Ray and Johnny began  their own party, RAJO, which was hugely popular throughout the Rhein  Necker Delta.Another friend, Nick Curly, joined RAJO in 2001 and  'The Loft’ residency began in Mannheim, where the first seeds of  something monumental were unwittingly being sown. The Mannheim  influence, and the time Ray has spent living there, is tangible; during these years the technical elements of Ray’s sets developed and the groove began to take shape, thankfully encompassing all the early influences like soul and funk.Berlin was calling in 2005 and beginning 4 years living in the city, Ray really started to blossom musically. The heralded DJ performances were soon accompanied by productions, such as remixes for Johnny D on Oslo and 8-bit or the Italoboyz on Get Physical. His first EP, ‘Fumnaya’ on Lomidhigh Lmtd and releases like ‘Frozen on Yellow Ice’ (Arearemote) and ‘Loving Moonbauh’ (Drumpoet Community) were instrumental in Mannheim’s explosion in 2008.On returning to Mannheim in 2009, his Brothers EP (Oslo) was a permanent fixture in clubs across the world in in the first half of the year and is one of the 2009’s most charted tracks on Resident Advisor. On the brink of beginning his live act in 2010, two further EPs, ‘Brainows’ on Soweso and ‘Tru Crowd’ back on Arearemote put Ray Okpara on the front
foot going into a new decade of continued house grooves and more good times.A crowd teaser and crowd pleaser, constantly rocking it with music to make you smile and lose yourself in the moment, Ray Okpara is coming to get you and there is no hiding place.House music still movin’ and groovin’...

Its not easy task following DJ W!LD..s path all across the planet ! Behind the decks for 12 years now, his career cannot be described in a few lines anymore … W !LD plays from one continent to another, as a tireless traveller, spreading hot underground music to all people with his technical mixes. Dj Wild was born in Dijon and now lives in Paris. He was first seduced by the hip hop culture, which, at the end of 80’s, united dancers, mc's, singers and dj’s around music, in a festive spirit which is difficult to recreate. His artistic life started as a graffiti artist in the suburbs of Dijon. His stage name is an allusion to the cult movie of the 80’s "Wild Style," which captures the spirit of the pioneers of hip-hop in New York in the late 70’s. In the early 90's, in France, techno music was considered a marginal movement only played in a small number of Parisian clubs such as the Boy or Luna. Having returned from England, after the explosion of "Summer of Love" in 1989, the Parisian Dj Laurent Garnier had his first residence in Dijon, at l’Enfer, which is now closed. In this quiet little town, opportunities to party were scarce and DJ Wild was immediately seduced by Laurent Garnier’s Dj sets at the Wake Up parties. This was a crucial revelation for the continuation of his artistic adventure. In 1996, DJ Wild had his first opportunity to take possession of the turntables and started playing in Clubs in Paris (Fumoir at at the legendary club le Palace, Queen, Rex&hellipwinking. The same year, he met Peter Rauhofer and produced an ep, “Magic Orgasm”, N°1 in the charts in several countries. From that moment, he became internationally known. In 1999, he began again to produce music when he met Chris Carrier and Guillaume la Tortue (French Dj and producer in the 90’s). He signed 6 ep’s with them on Combustible and Adult Only. In 2003, Wild and Chris Carrier created the band Catwash, tribute to the famous 70’s movie “Car Wash” (cult musical known for its soundtrack written by Norman Whitfield, father of the Motown in the 60’s). First, Catwash is the fusion of two creative entities which prioritises the dance floor music and electronic influences. Their first ep’s were released on famous labels known for the quality of their productions (Detour, Visitor, Brique Rouge, Crack & Speed, Adult Only and Get Physical,Supplement facts ). Right from the start, their releases received critical acclaim from luminaries such as ANDREW WEATHEHALL, JOSH WINK, RICHIE HAWTIN, ,RICARDO VILLALOBOS ,JOHN DIGWEED, M.A.N.D.Y, LUCIANO and many others. Working the field between acid, minimal, chicago and sheer madness, the reputation of CATWASH is steadly growing. W !LD also released tracks on GET PHYSICAL or CRACK&SPEED, ADULT ONLY ,BRIQUE ROUGE among others under his CATWASH guise. This electro music french ..JACK-OF-ALL –TRADES,.... despite his discretion, wich is often mistaken as shyness , has succeded in placing his mark on the club scene. Label Manager of CATWASH RECORDS, he..s tirelessly on the hunt for fresh new beats, and up and coming producers, Including REKLEINER, CATWASH ( DJ W!LD & CHRIS CARRIER) and TOMMY FOUR SEVEN, MONOMACHINE,DAVID K ,MIRCO VIOLI , FABIO GIANNELLI, ILARIO ALICANTE , !!!!!!. Today, DJ W!LD, 33, is more than present on the electronic music scene and signs numerous tracks and remix with Catwash or under his name supported already by LUCIANO , RARESH, RICARDO VILLALOBOS, GUIDO SCHNEIDER,ANJA SCHNEIDER.He ‘s back with his first love deep house and just signed on MOTIVBANK(sub label cadenza ) and RAL the famous bootleg label from Ricardo villalobos ,an & Luciano after artist like rhadoo, pedro ,luciano. He also wants to write a new page of his musical history by collaborating with other musicians (a collaboration with Kova Rea is announced on his next ep), launch the expected Catwash album FUMAR on the label Adult Only with remix from Ilario alicante ,Boris Werner & kouam djoko, Lemos, Kreon, Phil Weeks,David k, San proper !!! The bass line will not stop.

Felipe was born in Viña del Mar, Chile and has been close to music since his early youth. At the age of 8 he started classic piano lessons and when he was in his teens he nourished himself from the sound of bands like Rush, Yes, Pink Floyd and Kraftwerk. It was in this stage when he ventured with synthezisers and experienced composition and sorting. By 1998 his musical search took a turn and he projected is interest towards other music trends, closer to Chicago, Detroit house and derivatives. This interest made him start his Dj career in 2002. His computing engineering and sound studies were a perfect complement to his music development and in 2006 his first EP was released. Currently, he has edited for record labels like Cadenza, Cadenzalab, Metroline, Room 9, Sound Arquitecture, Andes music, Fumakilla and Fumalab (German label inwhich he actively participates) and for his own label, Melisma Records, he shares with his colleague Dani Casarano. His fresh sound, with organic and percussion vertex, has gained him the recognition of his peers as one of the most technical Djs in the circuit, and it’s a perfect complement to enjoy his sets loaded with a very classy groove of his own around the world His last releases have been very succesful and supported at an international level by artists as renowned as Ricardo Villalobos, Luciano, Richie Hawtin, Loco Dice and Laurent Garnier, just to mention some.

With his own productions he tries to be in vogue and to set trends by himself. After some years a pure techno DJ Piet was influenced in 2004 by a friend and gradually became a producing-junkie with a more minimal approach. Making new beats is not only Piet's ultimate task, however in addition it is his ultimate passion. Already in 2006 he followed up his talent with deeds. In cooperation with Marius Berger he could celebrate his first online releaseat the Berliner Label Rotary Cocktail Recordings with a remix of Holger Flinsch's Five Me. Followed by a residency as DJ at the legendary Hammer pent-house parties at Orange Club in 2007 the first vinyl was released at "Fassade Rec." with the ÑLift Off EP". Other productions are planned. It doesn't make a difference to Piet whether he is a DJ or Produces. In January 2008 he started also LIVE: Piet's style range between driving rhythms, wide sounds and "frickeling" gimmicks
